Celebrity Daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe Ava Left Unattended

Baby Lifestyles has moved.

We received a troubling email from two Baby Lifestyles readers about a problem all parents face when going on vacation with their children. When traveling with several children, a watchful eye must be kept on them at all times. At any point, a child should not be left unattended, especially when that child is the product of two movie stars like Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe.

Renee and Kelly from Los Angelos, California were on vacation at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Ojai, California, over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. The two girls recognized the famous tot immediately as she is “the spitting image of her Academy Award winning mother,” and heard her brother and nanny call her name. They watched Ava play with brother Deacon, Ava’s friend and the friend’s mother.

After the pair recognized the two children, Ava’s young friend and mother left the pool, saying that they would be back. Shortly after Deacon left the pool with his nanny. Ava was then by herself, splashing in the pool waters “bored and alone.” As a result, Ava spent over two hours completely unsupervised and alone in the pool with thankfully these two responsible onlookers watching in awe and shock over a celebrity child being left unattended.

Finding a spare moment to shower or eat on vacation–let alone take a quick nap–is sometimes next to impossible. But there are never situations where it’s okay to leave a child unattended for several hours, especially when they are the offspring of a celebrity. We’re grateful to these Baby Lifestyles readers who wrote in about how appalled they were to watch this beautiful child be left alone without a guardian in site and kept an eye on Ava until supervision returned.
